Those of us who have been involved with this project believe it contains an exemplary cross section of material illustrating the excellence being produced by students and staff in DoDDS-Germany schools. Every year the quality of work submitted for consideration improves; that is a tribute to the students and the teachers who help them prepare material for possible publication. It is also a recognition of the type of publication that SKETCHES is trying to become.
What you have in your hands is the final product, a product that recognizes individual creativity, a product to be used in our schools as a model for continued improvement in writing, photography, art, and other creative expression, and a product to be read and looked at; it exists to be enjoyed by all who pick it up.
