npj Pain considers basic science, as well as translational and clinical research in the field of pain. We are interested in the mechanisms, assessment, and treatment of pain across all populations and conditions. Topics may include but are not limited to: Pain Mechanisms: Molecular, cellular, or circuit-level processes important for pain, and their alteration in chronic pain conditions Assessment: Pain measurement in clinical and preclinical contexts, biomarkers, and impact on quality of life.
