Анотація:
The great subcontinent of India points sharply down from the mass of Asia into the Indian Ocean, with the island of Ceylon hanging like a teardrop near its trip. Once this whole immense triangle of land was the Indian empire, but since 1947 it has been divided into two dominions, Pakistan and the Republic of India. Today when we speak of India, we mean the republic itself – a large kite-shaped country, with West Pakistan and East Pakistan cutting off part of the broad top of the triangular subcontinent.
