Topic coverage of the journal includes: Use of biomarkers to guide drug development and to serve as diagnostics or prognostic tools. Detection, monitoring, and treatment of molecular causes of disease. Molecular markers and genetic variation affecting drug response, drug metabolism, adverse effects, and/or disease progression. Drug/diagnostic combinations (theranostics). Emerging molecular diagnostic tools and technologies. Pathogen detection and drug resistance analysis. Ethical and regulatory issues relating to precision medicine. Additional enhanced features (including slide sets, videos and animations) can be published with articles; these are designed to increase the visibility, readership and educational value of the journal’s content. In addition, articles published in Molecular Drugs & Therapy may be accompanied by plain language summaries to assist readers in understanding important medical advances
