Анотація: Preface The purpose of this study is to review the history of the Kievan Academy during the first — and most significant — century of its existence. Since the author had no direct access to archival materials, particularly to contemporary treatises and academic theses, the merit of this study must lie exclusively in its examination and reevaluation of the published documentary sources and secondary works.
