N2  - The Second Canadian Edition of Mathematics for Management and Finance has revised many topics which appeared in the previous editions to reflect the current needs of the business student. Chapters One to Five provide a review of the basic concepts of algebra, Break-even analysis is introduced in Chapter Three and the basic concepts of ratio, proportion and percent problems are covered in Chapter Four. The use of calculators to solve problems involving logarithmic functions is introduced in Chapter Five. Chapter Six covers supplemental topics in algebra and Chapter Seven deals with business applications of percent. In Chapters Eight through Seventeen, the presentation of topics reflects the use of electronic calculators. However, special sections are included which illustrate the use of tables and preprogrammed calculators.
