N2  - Ocean Microbiology is dedicated to advancing the field by capturing the interactions, adaptations, and roles of microorganisms within marine and aquatic ecosystems. We encourage submissions investigating marine microbial ecology, physiology, and genetics in addition to microbe interactions and symbiosis. We welcome cross-disciplinary research that explores microbial biogeochemistry and the wider potential applications of marine microbes in blue biotechnology and nature-based solutions addressing societal challenges. We are also interested in the impact of climate change on microbial communities and populations, and the modulating or mitigating effects of microbes. The journal will welcome original research articles, reviews, and case reports that contribute to advancing knowledge of marine and aquatic microorganisms
