Likely explosion in Communist world! Few Londoners realized that the remains of the grandaddy of Communism reposed under a respectable monument in Highgate Cemetery — until a trio of enterprising would-be capitalists devised an ingenious scheme to redistribute the wealth of nations. The plan: selling off Marx’s remains as sacred relics to his faithful comrades and fellow travelers around the world.
But the plan backfires when it succeeds beyond all dreams. And when demand for the product far exceeds the supply, who should step in to help out but the world’s most reliable collection agency — the Mafia, conve-iently posing as the Southern Italian Communist Party.
The plot thickens even further when the base of operations shifts to Rome, home office of the single biggest competitor in the relics business — Holy Mother Church. And in the resulting confusion, a bag of bones becomes the means to a wonderful bit of unplanned ideological redistribution.
