Taking a process approach to writing, Academic Writing Workshop introduces ESL students to composing in academic settings. It covers freewriting, journal writing, notetaking, brainstorming, generating first drafts, exchanging feedback, revising, editing, and writing summaries.
Academic Writing Workshop includes:
1. Sequential assignments that lead to the completion of three short academic essays;
2. Vocabulary practice thoughout;
3. Introductory discussions that guide and motivate;
4. Language Tales that provide high-interest material for discussion and writing;
