Aims This is an interdisciplinary biannual journal broadly under cognitive science, covering all major topics related to cognition, culture, and brain and their interface. The journal invites articles that probe cognitive processes such as attention, perception, language, memory, decision making as well as current trends in anthropology, education, and artificial intelligence that connect with the core theme of the journal. Special emphasis is on the cognitive pre requisites and consequences of bi/tri/multilingualism in different cultures, literacy, poverty, socioeconomic status, and culture on cognition (including brain). As such the journal fills a unique niche. Research with non-student/non-Western participant populations and/or using cross-linguistic/cross-cultural designs will be given particular priority. This in itself is a unique selling point of the journal and puts the journal at the cutting edge of research on mind and brain. This journal provides a platform for research that integrates disciplinary frameworks and proposes theoretical as well as experimental work that is, wherever possible, truly interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary. Scope The multidisciplinary approach in this journal encompasses all major research areas of cognitive science including but not restricted to: Psychology Cognitive neuroscience Linguistics Computational modeling Anthropology Education Evolutionary/genetic approaches Philosophy of mind Artificial intelligence As an international journal of cognitive science, the journal showcases research of the best quality that stands solidly on well-developed theoretical foundations. Full length research articles that seek rigorous answers to the core themes of the journal and thought-provoking theoretical articles that challenge prevalent views and explore new directions receive priority. All submissions are rigorously peer reviewed to ensure highest standards of quality.
